Daddy Peach was the name I gave him when I was 14 months of age. I was requesting a peach for breakfast and everyone was either momma or daddy to me.
Born on Oct. 20th he was the youngest of three boys and given the name John. Like his father, he became a doctor. He delivered babies over 30 years in Atlanta, Ga. I miss you each and everyday.
I had the opportunity to take the afternoon off from work to allow the flood evacuation crew to clean up their machines! While I was home I cleaned out our walk in closet, our three chests of drawers, and the bonus room closet. I am on the path to simplify our home. Brett and I will take 8 black trashbags full of donations to Goodwill tomorrow. Phew! What a great feeling...a tidy closet!

Life is not always how we plan or expect it. Brett and I have had a rough week to say the least. I am glad however that we have each other to lean on. I spoke to my friend Terry tonight and she told me something that I really liked. She said "sometimes you have to put the sharpie away and pull out a pencil with a really big eraser because life does not always go the way we plan." Isnt that the truth? What do I mean?...Brett and I have been working really hard to pay down our debts, I've been eating healthier and educating myself on my PCOS, we had our basement completed from the flood July4th weekend, I've interviewed prospective staff for the office for 3 weeks, Brett's worked nights and weekends for months...the list goes on and on. However, as life goes on we've replaced two staff members and are still on the hunt, our basement flooded again, my sister announced today she's expecting and due in June...I didnt picture her being the first one pregnant in the family.
On a happier note I've got some new pictures.
I made this piece of artwork out of bits and pieces of costume jewelry from my grandmothers. Its a sentimental way for others and myself to share something they loved as well. I made two of these. The other one is in the shape of a Christmas Tree and I pull it out during the holidays. I have this in my scrapbook room because it inspires memories.

Brett's going to visit his grandmother this month. I have to work and care for our four-legged kids.

I wanted to sing a little happy birthday to Leo and Libby who are 3 yrs old today! They just love snuggling with their dad on the couch upstairs!
Well, tonight it was finally finished. The stairs, the two halls, the family room, the bedroom, the kitchenette all the doors, baseboards and trim have a fresh coat of paint! Plus we were told that within a week our carpet would be replaced. It looks as if the basement flood of the 4th of July might be reaching the next level!

I can't wait! Tomorrow my dad, brother & girlfriend and me are going to Bodies the Exhibit. I have wanted to go all summer, but hadn't made the time.
The office we started moving a month ago will be seeing it's first patients on Monday morning, there are quite a few little things that Brett and I have to do before Monday, but I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
I came home from work today and took a long nap on the couch with Poncho my little snuggle bug! Boy the nap was nice because I was completely exhausted! Then it RAINED hard. We need the rain! Seems Friday is turning out "A-OK".
